In addition, NANCY BANIA is now the director of services, NATALIE BENAMOU is the new senior account executive for national accounts and BETH PETERSON is a new account manager for National Accounts.

CHRIS CARLSSON has been named senior vice president of Bekins Moving & Storage of Hillside, Ill., responsible for all phases of operations in the 43 locations nationwide.

MPC Trade Shows of Houston has hired ALLEN RICHARD as executive vice president to manage strategic planning and oversee the growth and development of the Home & Family Computing Supershow, the country's first consumer-oriented exposition that is touring the U.S.

DON HARDENSTEIN has been promoted to the new position of national director of sales administration at GES Exposition Services. The International Exhibitors Association has promoted SHARON BUCKLES to manager of Education and Conferences of IEA.

GLENN W. BOSTROM and WILLIAM E. SMITH have received the Association Executive Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Association Executives.

Giltspur Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of custom exhibits and services for trade shows, has named REMO J. RUCCIONE general manager of the Los Angeles division. He was previously sales and marketing manager.

PATRICK FIEGE has been named director of Billing & Distribution of Bekins Van Lines. The company has named LORI MORAN COLLINS to the position of director of Agency Recruiting and AL BRIDGEMAN to the position of sales manager. Bridgeman will be assisted by CLARENCE MAYS and DEE WALTER.

The American Society of Association Executives has installed GARIS DISTELHORST as chairman of the board of directors. He is chief staff executive of the National Association of College Stores. SUSAN BITTER SMITH, executive director of Arizona Cable Television Association is chairman-elect; DAVID PARKER, president of The Aluminum Association is secretary-treasurer; and vice chairmen are: RICHARD J. BETTIS, executive vice president of Texas Hospital Association; ANNE L. DeCICCO, president and CEO of New Jersey Health Inc.; JOHN L. CRUMP, executive director of the National Bar Association; and ROBERT DOLIBOIS, executive vice president, American Association of Nurseymen.

The American Society of Association Executives installed ANN COX as chairman. She is executive director of American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Also, JAMES EVANS, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Hotels Corp., chairman-elect; and DON RIGGIN, president and CEO of the Arthritis Foundation, as treasurer.

MICHAEL MAGGIORE has been named vice president of Operations for the Las Vegas office of GES Exposition Services.

CAROL FOJTIK has been promoted to senior vice president at Hall-Erickson Inc. She is the Managing Director for Exhibitor Show, the National Conference and Exhibition for Trade Show and Event Marketing Professionals, now in its eighth year. She also is publisher of Women In Trade Shows (WITS), a monthly newsletter written especially for women in the exhibition industry.
